Asta Knob Tapered
A knurled drum on a straight tapered stem. The drum is narrower and deeper than the Asta Knob — 54 mm across and 20.7 deep — with a plain flat top and diamond knurling running the full circumference, so the hand finds grip at the rim and smooth brass at the crown. The stem tapers cleanly from Ø 24.50 mm under the drum to Ø 22.50 mm where it meets the knurled concealed rose. Solid brass, half-sprung, supplied as a pair.

Half-sprung: the rose carries a partial return spring, so on a heavier door pair the knob with a lightly sprung tubular latch to bring it back cleanly. The rose fixes concealed — no visible screws on the face. A tubular latch or bathroom lock is required and ordered separately; the Cast Latch and the Cast Bathroom Lock both run on the same 8 mm spindle. Knob and rose diameters, projection and stem diameters are taken from the supplier general arrangement; knob depth is scaled from that drawing and is not separately dimensioned by the supplier. Fire rating is not yet certified for this knob — specify the Asta Lever where FD30 or FD60 is required.
